Out of quota Sugar
Out of quota sugar or industrial sugar, can only be used by the chemical, pharmaceutical and fermentation industry.
This sugar is defined in the Council Regulation (EC) 318/2006 with the rules for application in Council Regulation (EC) 967/2006. All the sugar qualities of 'Sucres de Tirlemont' can be delivered as out of quota sugar. Specifically for the fermentation industry, les Sucres de Tirlemont have developed thick juice. This juice contains 95 % of sugar on dry solids.
